Dora Wells Perry

Dora Wells Perry, 89, widow of Claude A. Perry, resident of Brookside Living Center widow of Claude A. Perry passed away Saturday March, 1, 2008 at Brookside Nursing Care.

Born in Elbert Co., GA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Leroy and Ella Dora Terry Wells.

She was a 1937 graduate of Abbeville High School. Dora was a retired textile worker with Abbeville Mills. Upon retirement, she became a homemaker where she excelled in gardening, sewing and cooking and raising her family. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her daughter Claudette Duffy and her husband Robert of Pendleton, SC; Sons, Billy Perry and Stevie Perry of the home; Grandchildren, Eddie Perry, John Perry, Phillip Perry, Kristina Burnett, Debbie Duffy; Great-grandchildren, Sophie and Ben Burnett.

Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her son David Perry. She was the last member of her immediate family of 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
