Dora Frances Vail Kidd

Dora Frances Vail Kidd, 73, of 102 Church St. died Wednesday, Jan.14, 2004, at his home.

Born in Calhoun Falls, she was the daughter of the late Amos Lindsey and Sarah Leila Brown Vail. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are sons, Al Kidd, John Kidd and Randall Kidd, all of Abbeville, and Wayne Kidd of Donalds; daughter, Beverly Kidd Shaw of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brother, David Vail of Summerville, Ga.; sister, Etta Lee Vail Smith of Enterprise, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert "Reece" Lindsey Vail and Curry Vail.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville.
