Donald E. "Don" McGill

Donald "Don" E. McGill, Sr., 72, resident of 3084 Lake Secession Rd. widower of Tina DeMarco McGill died Saturday July 14, 2007 at Willow Creek Nursing Center in Iva, SC.

Born in Anderson, SC he was a son of the late Albert and Ophelia Bain McGill.

He was a United States Air Force veteran. Don retired as owner & operator of McGill's Grocery for more than 20 years. He was also of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include 1 daughter Diana D. McMahan and her husband Terry of Augusta, GA; 3 sons Thomas DeAndrea and his wife Dana of Dallas, TX, Donald E. McGill, Jr. and his wife Linda of Dallas, TX and Jerry A. McGill of Anderson, SC; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Helen Busby and Louise Thompson and 1 brother James Albert McGill.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 17, 2007 at 3:00 PM from Rocky River Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Greer officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Monday evening. The family is at #14 Doc Williams Rd. Iva, SC and 264 3rd Ave. Lake Secession Iva, SC.
