Don Louis Southard

January 1, 1926 — May 18, 2003

Don Louis Southard, Sr. 77, resident of 305 Ferry St. died Sunday May 18, 2003 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Born in Franklin, NC he was a son of the late William Henry and Florence Battle Southard.

He was a retired conductor with The CSX Railroad. He was also a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church.

Survivors are: 4 - sons - Don Louis Southard, Jr. and wife Donna-Abbeville, SC Edward Lee Southard and wife Patsy-Monks Coroner, SC, Phillip Wayne Southard and wife Leslie-Greenwood, SC, Anthony Alan Southard and wife Amy-Abbeville, SC. 1 - daughter - Jacki S. Stone and husband Larry-Anderson, SC.

8-grandchildren, 10-great-grandchildren.

He was the last member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 19, 2003 at 4:00PM from Abbeville First Baptist Church with The Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Private burial services will be conducted at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family received friends Monday afternoon from 2:00 til 3:30PM at The Church Activities Building prior to services.

Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Kittrell Center, Suite 312 Columbia, SC 29204.

The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville, SC is in charge.
