David Clayton "Woot" Hall Sr., 80, resident of 1592 Bulls Horne Rd. husband of Betty Campbell Hall passed away Wednesday July 9, 2008 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late R.E. Sr. and Ernestine Nelson Hall.
He was a WWII Army veteran and was formerly with Fovil Manufacturing Co. He retired with Abbeville Co. Landfill Dept. David was also a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years Betty Campbell Hall of the home; 1 son David C. Hall and his wife Sherri of Abbeville, SC; 3 daughters Tobitha Lynch and her husband Henry of Abbeville, SC, Joanne Alewine and her husband Tommy of Antreville, SC and Alice Sorrow and her husband Brian of Abbeville, SC; 3 brothers Charles, Howard and Donald Hall all of Abbeville, SC; 7 grandchildren, Lynn (Gregg) Holtzclaw, Teresa (Eric) Williams, Keith (Rebecca) Alewine, Mark (Lisa) Alewine, Clay Hall, Cassidy and Drake Sorrow and 4 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Williams, Dylan Alewine, Gabby and Parker Alewine.
He was preceded in death by a son Waymon Ben Hall and 3 brothers Gaines, Murray and Ed Hall.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday July 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Brian Sorrow 1516 Bulls Horne Rd. Abbeville, SC.
