Bobby Renow Crosby

Bobby Renow Crosby, 79, resident of 130 McGowan Ave. husband of Carolyn Jo Crosby passed away Friday June 2, 2017 at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Homerville, Georgia he was a son of the late Renow Crosby and Annie Ruth Smith Crosby.

Bobby was a kind and gentle soul who loved God, his family and country. He was a racer at heart. He started out boat racing in the 40's and 50's then moved on to drag racing in the 60's. He started racing stock cars in the 70's and 80's. He was a retired machinist but most of all he loved his wife and family. He attended Abbeville Congregational Holiness Church.

Bobby was a mason and a member of the Clinton Lodge # 3 AFM he was also a United States Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his beloved wife Carolyn Jo Crosby of the home; two sons Jeffery Renow Crosby (Beth) of Rock Hill, SC and Michael H. Crosby (Kathleen) of Lake City, FL; two granddaughters Jennifer Laurie Crosby and Katherine Elizabeth Crosby both of Lake City, FL; Special friends Dylan and Jennifer Bladon whom they considered family; a number of cousins.

A Celebration of Bobby's life will be conducted Thursday June 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Tye Sorrow and Willie McCurry officiating.
The family will receive friends in the church Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.

Memorials in memory of Bobby may be made be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
