Bob Harden

Robert “Bob” Bennett Harden, 83, resident of 103 Ridgeway St. passed away peacefully at his home Friday Oct. 4, 2019 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Cuthbert, Georgia he was a son of the late Robert Jefferson Harden and Lucille Pinkston Harden. He was a widower of his late wife Jane Troglin Harden of 54 years.

Bob was a United States Army veteran. He spent his working career in textiles having worked for Milliken Textiles for over 35 years. He was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church where he served as church treasurer for many years. He was also a Sunday School Teacher and served on numerous committee’s within the church. Bob will be missed by his loving family and his many friends.

Survivors include: two daughters Dianne Mitchell of Ware Shoals, SC and Suzanne Lassen of Abbeville, SC; four grandchildren Eddie, Jaryd, Corey and Calen; four great-grandchildren Avari, Cilla, Cora Jane and Bennett.

A Graveside Service will be conducted Sunday Oct. 6, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Long Cane Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Arant officiating Military Honors to follow. The family will receive friends after services.
