Billy Willis, Sr.

Billy Frank Willis, Sr., 90, resident of 105 West Russell Lake Blvd. husband of JoAnn Dickson Willis passed away Tuesday February 5, 2019 peacefully at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Anderson, SC September 18, 1928 he was a son of the late Steven Franklin Willis and Nancy Edmonds Willis.

Billy was a United States Army veteran an served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired textile employee with West Point Pepperell Mills and was a faithful member of Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: His beloved wife of 67 years JoAnn Dickson Willis of the home; three grandchildren Anna Willis Thompson, Ashlea Willis and Alec Willis; two daughter-in-laws Laura B. Willis and Patti Baldwin; sister-in-law Joan Dickson of Abbeville, SC; a niece, Nancy Whitworth; and two nephews, Stephen and Tommy Pettigrew.

He was preceded in death by two sons Billy Willis, Jr. and Joe Willis and a sister Jeanette Willis Pettigrew.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday February 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Frank McCoy officiating. The family is at the home of his daughter-in-law Laura Willis 577 New Rd. Abbeville, SC.
