Benson Powell

Benson Powell, 91, resident of 200 Bowie St. Husband of Doris Ashley Powell died Monday Dec. 29, 2003 at Abbeville Co. Memorial Hospital.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of the late John and Lettie Mae Partridge.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Matthews Mill in Greenwood, SC. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC.

Gene Powell-Donalds, SC
1-granddaughter-Brenda Craft
2-great-grandchildren Bret and Brianna Craft

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Dec. 31, 2003 at 11:00 AM from The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev.'s Wade Burton and Stanley Fuller officiating. The burial will follow in Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery, Donalds, SC.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. The family is at the home 200 Bowie St. Donalds, SC.

In Lieu of flowers ther family request memorials be made to the Due West Rescue Squad, Due West, SC 29639.
