Annie Mae Hughes Carwile

Annie Mae Carwile, 87, formerly of Abbeville Arms Apartments, widow of Frank D. Carwile, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at the Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Mae Burgess Hughes. She was a retired textile employee with Abbeville Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are number nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Graveside services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville.

The family will be at the home of her nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Joe Hughes, 1518 Mount Carmel Road, Abbeville, S.C.
